No, you don’t need to install trenching. The silt socks we manufacture and supply are easy to install, plus they can be installed directly onto your construction site with no additional preparation work.

What are silt socks filled with?

The right filler for your silt sock will depend on your requirements, but they are typically filled with aggregate, coarse sand, sawdust, or wood chips. One of the factors to consider in relation to the filling for your silt socks is weight. Sand, for example, is heavy, making silt socks filled with sand heavy to lift.
